Please pick a day in the booking calendar to make a valid purchase for Szechenyi Bath tickets – subject to availability for ticket types (Locker, Cabin, Fast Track).
The entry to Szechenyi Bath is slightly cheaper on weekdays (Monday – Thursday are weekdays while Fridays – Sundays are weekends when it comes to Budapest thermal bath reservation). If you wish to shave off some Euros from the ticket price you can purchase your weekday ticket on the spot before 9 am on weekdays (subject to availability). Please note that national holidays are not weekdays, and some of the weekdays near national holidays are re-scheduled as holidays. If in doubt, please inquire via email or on the spot.
Kindly note that weekday tickets cannot be moved to an alternative date (instead of change of date you can cancel and rebook at your convenience).
Entries are valid for a full day stay, usually from 8 am to 7 pm (the opening hours may change seasonally, so again, please make sure to double check the current opening times before planning your visit).

Hello, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is no separate “sightseeing only” ticket for visiting the interior of Szechenyi Baths (or any of Budapest’s thermal baths) without bathing. To access the indoor areas reserved for bath guests, a standard admission ticket is required, and visitors are expected to change into appropriate bathing attire. You may, of course, wear a bathrobe over your swimwear for additional comfort and coverage. Tickets can be booked online in advance or purchased on the spot, subject to availability.
Hey
Just looking for two adults tickets on 2nd Jan. But can seem to find it online
Thanks
Dear Linda,
Thank you for contacting us about your plan to visit the thermal bath.
The calendar opens up gradually (approx. 30 days before the date). You will be able to make bookings closer to the date.
Tickets are available on the spot too. However, please note that entry is always subject to availability.
Hi, we’re trying to book 2 adult tickets on any day 23rd – 27th have Christmas dates sold out or are they still waiting to be released?
Thanks!
Hello Paige,
Thank you for contacting us about your planned visit to Budapest’s thermal baths in December.
Tickets for the 2026 Christmas holiday season are becoming available gradually as the booking calendar opens. Please note that holiday admission prices are higher than regular ticket prices from 18 December 2026 to 7 January 2027.
You may also wish to explore other thermal baths in Budapest, each offering a unique experience. We particularly recommend Rudas Baths, featuring a panoramic rooftop thermal pool, and Palatinus Baths, located on the peaceful Margaret Island, along with the Margaret Island hotel spa bath
