A relaxing day at Szechenyi Bath is even more enjoyable when you know your personal belongings are stored safely. The bath offers several storage options to suit different needs: during your visit you can safely store your clothing and everyday personal belongings using the bath’s lockers, private cabins, and optional secure storage services.
Lockers and Private Cabins
All ticket types include either a locker or a private changing cabin for personal storage, depending on the selected ticket category.
- Lockers are suitable for storing clothing, shoes, towels, and a backpack or similar-sized bag. Lockers are in shared changing areas (in male vs. female changing areas)
- Private cabins provide a secure, private changing space with additional room for your belongings (in mixed areas, however each changing cubicle is lockable, with the size of a dressing room).
Please note that items stored in lockers or private cabins are not insured.
Safety Boxes for Personal Items
For smaller practical items such as mobile phones, wallets, passports, jewellery, car keys, or other important personal items, safety boxes are available for rent on site. Kindly inquire about the additional details at the cashier if you are planning to use a safety box.
The current rental fee is affordable, typically under 5 EUR. As prices and operating conditions may change during the year, we kindly recommend checking the latest information at the cashier before renting a safety box.
Insured Item Deposit Service
For guests who would like additional peace of mind, Szechenyi Bath also offers an insured value deposit service. The service itself is located in the basement area of the thermal baths, on the same level as the locker changing rooms. For the exact location, kindly ask the staff on the spot. The opening hours for these services are shorter than the bath opening times, typically open until 18:30.
Pricing
The current fee is 1,100 HUF per rental occasion (2026), under 5 Euros. Unlike lockers and cabins, items deposited here are insured. The compensation in the event of a covered insured incident ranges – further details can be obtained on the spot.
Capacity
The storage compartments are designed primarily for smaller personal belongings. The largest compartment can accommodate approximately one average-sized backpack.
Our Recommendation
For the most comfortable experience, we recommend keeping only essential items with you during your thermal bath visit and using the insured value deposit service or a safety box for important items whenever possible. As with any public facility, it is advisable not to bring unnecessary high-value belongings such as jewellery or luxury items to the bath.
