Please book your massage therapy minimum 1 or 2 days before your planned visit to Szechenyi Thermal Bath, possibly weeks before the date of the visit. Please note that massage is only for bath guests in Szechenyi Baths owning a valid bath ticket.

Please note that Szechenyi Baths pools are for children over 14, we recommend taking under 14 kids to one of the following Budapest lidos or pools: Palatinus Furdo (summer time open air lido on Margaret Island) or Dagaly Furdo (summer time open air lido on the Pest side, by Arpad Bridge) where thermal baths and children pools are simultaneously available.
You can also check out the latest prices at the entrance on the ticket boards at Szechenyi Baths before purchasing your tickets. You can buy your baths tickets each day until 9 pm at the cashiers (1 hour before the closing time of the outdoor pools).
There are various tickets, including discount bath tickets for early morning swimmers (from 6 am to 8 am) and evening bath tickets (outdoor pools only, between 7 pm and 9:45 pm). Discount bath party tickets are also available for party goers of groups of 10 or more people.
Refunding Prices of Tickets
Note: The old system of bath ticket refunding is not in use any more in Szechenyi Baths. It does not matter how long you are using your tickets, for 1 or 2 or 6 hours, the length of use will not mean refunding the price based on hours.

I booked 7 day tickets online for today, 1 January 2024. We arrived at 2:00pm to face a massively long queue. We slowly progressed in the online queue but after 1 hour, the online queue stalled. Very few people were being let in from the online queue so after another hour of waiting with minimal progression, my wife and I left. There were two reasons the online queue stalled. Firstly, your staff were allowing locals who undoutedly knew the staff to enter the building from the exit door !! Secondly, the ‘day ticket’ queue was given priority over the online queue, even though the sign out front says the online queue has priority !!
We are not from Hungary and were so looking forward to a bath house experience. But it was not meant to be. Maybe we’ll have better luck at another bath house in Budapest if we ever come back.

Yes, it is true. One out of the three outdoor pools will be closed for maintenance from the 21st March to the 23rd March . The pool being maintained is called the “Outdoor Thermal Pool”. The swimming pool and the other thermal pool with the whirlpool feature will still be open.

Yes you can book one ticket with a locker and one ticket with a changing cubicle (cabin) and then take turns to get changed in the cabin and use it as a shared storage.

All the tickets at Szechenyi Bath are day entries, once you enter the Bath you can stay as long as you wish.
Every ticket comes with either a locker or a changing cubicle rental. If you would like to share a changing cubicle (also called a cabin) then you can buy one ticket with a locker and one with a cabin and you can take turns to get changed in the cabin, then use it as a storage.

If you wish to arrive early in the morning , there is a day ticket called “Good morning Budapest” sold every weekday at the cashier between 7 am and 9 am (holidays excluded).

The outside pools are open all year around. They include two hot water thermal pools, that are still very enjoyable in the colder months, and a cooler swimming pool.
It is good to arrive in the morning to enjoy everything that the large Bath complex has to offer. Please note that all the tickets are single day entries.

I note there is a Good Morning Budapest ticket which can be purchased at the cashier between 7am – 9am. Does this mean that you have to exit the baths by 9am or can you stay as long as you like?

If you would like to buy the Good morning Budapest tickets, they have to be purchased and used before 9 am. Please note that all the tickets are single day entries in the Baths, including the Good morning Budapest ticket. After entering you can stay as long as you wish on that day, you don’t have to leave at 9 am.
