We regret to admit that not everyone in the personnel of the thermal baths speaks advanced English, therefore, some tourists feel an English map for navigating within the spa bath complex of Szechenyi Furdo would be helpful.

  1. FATEN ANDRAWUS HADDAD

Hello, I want to book tickets for December. I saw a restriction regarding children under age 14. My children’s ages are 17, 15, and the youngest is 10, and it wouldn’t make sense for all of us to enter without him. So what do we do in this case? Will it be okay if he’s under my supervision? According to the map there are several pools, which ones he is allowed to enter? There’s F101, F91, F81

    • Dear Faten,

Thank you for planning your family visit to Budapest and for your interest in the thermal baths. For colder months, we recommend the following family-friendly options:

Palatinus Bath – Indoor and outdoor pools with family facilities on Margaret Island. Best from late May to early October, but also open in winter (outdoor pool accessible via heated corridor). No rental services, so please bring towels and swimwear.

Csillaghegy Bath – A modern, spacious complex with indoor pools, located outside the city centre.

For winter, Aquaworld is ideal if you’re looking for classic water-park fun with slides and multiple indoor/outdoor pools. It’s also outside the city centre.

Please note: Szechenyi Baths does not allow children under 14 in the thermal pools.

    • Dear Dragica,

Thank you for contacting us about your planned visit to the Szechenyi Thermal Bath.
We have sent further details via email regarding bath entrance fees and partial visitation hours of the pools.

Generally speaking there are full day tickets with flexible use (enter any time during the opening times), or
more expensive fast track bath tickets with limited entry slots – and skip the line add on feature – where after entry guests can stay as long as they wish afterwords (until closing hours).

      Enjoy your time in Budapest!

  3. Hello, I’m looking to book for a day in December for 6 ladies. At the moment it isn’t possible to book massages. If we book now, will we be able to add massages when they become available please? Many Thanks

    • SzechenyiBath.com

Hello Tracey, Thank you for your kind enquiry. There are currently two ways to arrange massages at Szechenyi Thermal Baths:

For advance booking, massage treatments are available as part of the so called Private Spa Packages (this does not include a literal private spa bath pool, but includes a private room for a limited time). Each package is designed for 2 guests and includes bath admission plus two massages at the same appointment time in a shared massage room. For this reason, we recommend not purchasing separate admission tickets if you are planning to pre-book massages.

Once the private spa booking calendar dates are released, typically 1 month before the date, you can simply book one Private Spa Package for every 2 guests, subject to availability, if you are happy with the package and the booking conditions (please note that the booking is non-changeable, non-refundable, the massage hour is fixed, and the treatment is in a shared room) For an odd number of guests, please note that the packages and massage rooms are arranged for two, so the additional treatment place would also need to be purchased.

Alternatively, regular stand-alone massages (for individual guests) may be available from the remaining appointments on the day . These can be inquired about upon arrival, subject to availability. Typically available for the earliest spots on a weekday (Mon-Thu), depending on the season.
