Should you wish to buy fast track bath entries, you can buy them on the previous day. However, if you wish to book massage treatments, I would suggest to make your reservation well in advance, as massages are usually sold out days before the actual date of visit.

My partner and I are coming to budapest next weekend, is it better to visit the baths on a weekend or weekday? Also if I buy a ticket can we arrive at anytime? We would prefer to come in the evening and stay until late (10pm) are there any rules for the baths such as wearing a swimming hat?

Tickets are valid for the whole day (from 9am to 10pm). Check-in for online reservations is possible between 9am and 6pm only.
There is an afternoon ticket available too (only at the cashier), which is valid after 5pm.
Swimming cap is required to wear in the swimming pools, but not required in the thermal pools.
