Szechenyi Bath is in the biggest green park of Budapest, in the beautiful City Park, close to a bunch of Budapest attractions. The  Neo-baroque palace was specifically built for hosting Szechenyi Baths as Hungary has been the country of baths (and Budapest the City of Baths) for many centuries.

The history of thermal bathing starts with the Roman settlers who built the first spa baths (Aquincum was the Roman’s settlement in today’s ‘old Buda’ district. Then, through the 16th century, Turkish occupiers built many of the famous and revived Turkish baths in Budapest. The 19-21st century even grew further in popularity, promoting natural medical trends where aqua therapies and their beneficial effects attracted hundreds of thousands to thermal spas all over Hungary. The beautiful building of Szechenyi Bath  is the design of Gyozo Czigler (Győző Czigler) who started to build Szechenyi Furdo in 1909. As an exciting contrast, these days the bath welcomes thousands of young people to a dazzling laser disco with throbbing vibrations to enjoy an ultimate bath party almost every Saturday night.

  1. (CORRECT E-MAIL ADDRESS)
    Hello,

I’m going to Budapest for two days (from the 10th September to the 12th September) and I would like to visit the Szechenyi Baths.

I’m lading at 4:45pm in the 10th September and I have to do the check-in in the hostel before going to the baths. What I would like to know is if I can purchase tickets on the facilities until 7pm or, if I purchase them online, can I enter at 7pm?

I can only visit the baths on the 10th since I’m visiting the city on the 11th and departing at 1pm on the 12th.

    Thank you for your attention.

  4. Hi,

A few of my friends and I are planning to visit the Szechenyi Baths on Saturday 9th September 2017. We want to visit the baths during the day/evening as well stay for the party at night. However, we’re unsure if we have to buy the day ticket as well as the party one or can we just buy the day ticket and stay for the night as well?

  5. Hi, I was wondering if there were any group discounts as 7 of us are planning to visit some day next week; we were also wondering how long the ticket allows us to stay in the baths.

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Tanya,
unfortunately, we are unable to offer a discount for 7 guests.

  6. Hello, do we have to pay on card or can we turn up and pay for 5 tickets and lockers by cash?
