Szechenyi Bath is in the biggest green park of Budapest, in the beautiful City Park, close to a bunch of Budapest attractions. The  Neo-baroque palace was specifically built for hosting Szechenyi Baths as Hungary has been the country of baths (and Budapest the City of Baths) for many centuries.

Budapest Spa Party / Sparty

The history of thermal bathing starts with the Roman settlers who built the first spa baths (Aquincum was the Roman’s settlement in today’s ‘old Buda’ district. Then, through the 16th century, Turkish occupiers built many of the famous and revived Turkish baths in Budapest. The 19-21st century even grew further in popularity, promoting natural medical trends where aqua therapies and their beneficial effects attracted hundreds of thousands to thermal spas all over Hungary. The beautiful building of Szechenyi Bath  is the design of Gyozo Czigler (Győző Czigler) who started to build Szechenyi Furdo in 1909. As an exciting contrast, these days the bath welcomes thousands of young people to a dazzling laser disco with throbbing vibrations to enjoy an ultimate bath party almost every Saturday night.

  1. Hi!
Me and my wife were wondering if it’s possible to bolk tickets for entering the bath during the day and at the same time, tickets fpr the bath party during the evening?

We couldn’t find this alternative. Thank you!

  2. Hi – we want to book for Monday 29 May and plan to arrive around 8am but the information on the website seems to indicate the ticket would be from 9am. Please can you confirm that we can have entry before 9am?
    Thankyou

      Hello Fran,

      thank you for your email.

Check in with online bought fast track entries is between 9 am and 6 pm.

You can buy your tickets on the spot, therefore you can enter the bath before 9am.

I hope I could be of help.

is it necessary to book in advance? is this cheaper or the same price? we are coming on july 7th

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Kerry,
it is not necessary, however warmly recommended, as massage appointments are subject to availability, and massage hours are limited, they sell out very fast. Advanced booking is on the same price as on the spot, but please note that it is not very likely to get a massage appointment for the same day if you wish to book on the spot.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more help with your booking: info@szechenyispabaths.com

  4. Hi
We are 3 friends who would like massage at the same time either tomorrow or the day after. Is that possible?

  5. Hi is there any facial treatments available for Monday the 5th as we will book for that day? And if there is what kinda treatments are available ?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Hello Agija,
unfortunately, there are no facial treatments at the bath. We suggest the massages with facial treatments:
The Harmony Aroma Relax Massage is one of the most popular treatments in Szechenyi Baths.
This is a calm, slow and relaxing full-body massage (including face, head, and feet massage) using tender movements and warm aromatic oils that spoil both your body and soul.
The 70 min Harmony Aroma treatment also includes the use of moisturizing body lotion and a face toner with a high content of active ingredients.
There are available appointments for both massage type on the 5th of June.
Hope we can welcome you at Szechenyi Spa Baths!

      • I just wanted to book for the Monday the 5th but it said I have to tick the box witch says that that date requires weekend tickets? What does that mean?

        • Szechenyi Spa Baths

          Hello Agija,
az the 5th of June will be Whit Monday (and bank holiday in Hungary) the date requires weekend tickets.
Thank you for your kind understanding.

      • If it’s like a weekend on a Monday, dos that mean it will close earlier than 10 as we will be only going down in the afternoon?

        • Szechenyi Spa Baths

          Dear Agija,
          thank you for your reply.
The bath will be open as usual on Whit Monday, until 10pm.
Have a nice holiday in Budapest!

        • Szechenyi Spa Baths

  6. Hi,
My friend and I would like to book one massage and one pregnancy massage. Is this possible. We already have tickets to the baths and would like to know if we can add a massage on, and what the cost would be.

    Thanks,
    Claire

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Hello Claire,
pregnant ladies are kindly asked to consult with their doctor / OBGYN if they can bathe in the thermal waters.
Unfortunately, no thermal bath offers pregnancy massage in Budapest.
I am sorry that I could not be more helpful.
      Enjoy your stay in Budapest!
