Szechenyi Baths & Pool: Fun Place, Fine Palace
Szechenyi Baths (built in 1913) is the most visited and much praised attraction in Budapest: relaxing, fun, affordable and, in the evenings, romantic. In addition to the marvellous medicinal natural hot spring waters in the 18 pools, there are over 6 saunas / steam cabins, several massage therapies, facial treatments, and more. Before making a visit, please check if the FAQ has a reply to your questions.

Szechenyi Bath is in the biggest green park of Budapest, in the beautiful City Park, close to a bunch of Budapest attractions. The Neo-baroque palace was specifically built for hosting Szechenyi Baths as Hungary has been the country of baths (and Budapest the City of Baths) for many centuries.

The history of thermal bathing starts with the Roman settlers who built the first spa baths (Aquincum was the Roman’s settlement in today’s ‘old Buda’ district. Then, through the 16th century, Turkish occupiers built many of the famous and revived Turkish baths in Budapest. The 19-21st century even grew further in popularity, promoting natural medical trends where aqua therapies and their beneficial effects attracted hundreds of thousands to thermal spas all over Hungary. The beautiful building of Szechenyi Bath is the design of Gyozo Czigler (Győző Czigler) who started to build Szechenyi Furdo in 1909. As an exciting contrast, these days the bath welcomes thousands of young people to a dazzling laser disco with throbbing vibrations to enjoy an ultimate bath party almost every Saturday night.

Come and enjoy your time in Budapest in Szechenyi Bath, in a beautiful, richly decorated palace. The perfect place to chill out, to get to know locals, make business deals and fall in love. If you are interested in learning more about Budapest baths, explore some more on Baths Budapest.

Dear Sotiris,
thank you, we will soon contact you via email.
Hi!
When I call the bath and ask if you can buy tickets in advance they say that it’s not possible.
However, here it seems that it’s possible to do that, which is a bit confusing. Is it possible or not?
I will arrive in Budapest on May 26th with 23 people and wonder what the best thing to do is in order to not stand in line when we arrive to the bath? Thanks in advance.
Hi Tom,
thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, it is possible to buy tickets in advance. We will soon send you our group offer via email. Thank you for your patience.
Hello,
I would like to make a group booking for 13 people for Saturday 5th May. Is it possible to send funds direct to a bank account?
Keen to book ASAP as it looks like tickets are selling fast!
Hello Martin,
I am afraid it is not possible to pay by bank transfer for Bath Party tickets.
The only booking option is online on the following page: https://spartybooking.com/events/sparty-bath-party-5-may-2018-szechenyi-bath/?ref=1245
Hi – is it possible to buy gift vouchers for the baths? Thanks for letting me know.
Hi,
I’m solo traveller whom will visit Budapest 4 days in September 2018. I’m planning to Szechenyi Massage & Baths. I’m interested the Harmony Massage 45 min & Ticket & SzB Cabin 72 Euros.
I’m unclear. Can you break down or explain the package of Harmony Massage 45 min & Ticket & SzB Cabin 72 Euros? How is different between SzB Cabin and Locker? How about the time schedule?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Hang
Dear Hang,
thank you for your inquiry.
Massage packages are only available with a cabin ticket, they are not available with a locker ticket.

Regarding the time schedule: you can add your preferred massage hour in the booking form.
Hello, we’re traveling with a 10-months baby and a 4 years old kid. Can we enjoy the baths with them? I’ve read that the pools are not for children under 12 years but we’re not sure if the pools are only the outside swimming pools or the whole complex.
Thank you very much!
