vaccination proofs are no longer required.
Towels, flip-flops and bathrobes are not available to rent at the moment.
Please note that slippers/flip-flops are mandatory.

Hi, are kids (5 to 10 years old) allowed in the pools?

The thermal baths were and are still aimed at adult bathers, therefore there are no kid’s pools or activities.
Most of the outdoor and indoor pools and baths are more than 33 degrees Celsius, which means increased stress for the cardiovascular system of kids, whose body is not fully developed yet to be able to cope with the heat of the bath waters, therefore saunas and hot pools are not healthy for children under 14. Children can enter the pools with their parent’s responsibility.

On news site we read that thermal baths in Hungary will close, due to increased gas prices. We will visit Budapest in January. Will Szechenyi Bath be closed?

We do not have any information about closing the baths due to the increased energy prices.
Some bathhouses will operate with shortened opening hours, but Szechenyi Spa Baths remains open as usual.
