Hi guys!
What are the indoor and outdoor options for my 7-year-old, who will be visiting with me this December?
Thanks,
Nathan
Hi Nathan,
Thank you for your email.
The bath entry is free for children under 2 years old but older children have to pay full prices tickets.
The thermal baths were and are still aimed at adult bathers, therefore there are no kid’s pools or activities.
Most of the outdoor and indoor pools and baths are more than 33 degrees Celsius, which means increased stress for the cardiovascular system of kids, whose body is not fully developed yet to be able to cope with the heat of the bath waters, therefore saunas and hot pools are not healthy for children under 14.
Please find more about this topic on the link below:

All indoor and ourdoor pools are open all year round.
Should you have further questions, please contact us.
Hi there
We’re visiting Budapest on 29/30 December and really want to visit your Baths, but have missed out on the advance tickets. If we turn up on the day will we be able to get in – will it be really busy and are the queues very long then?
Is it best to arrive early?
Many thanks for your help,
Lynn
Dear Lynn,
Thank you for your inquiry about Szechenyi Spa Baths.
The online ticket sale has stopped for the festive season, tickets are only available upon arrival.
The bathhouse is expected to be very busy therefore the check-in would be no longer fast check.
On Dec 29, the baths will open at 7 am, we recommend the arrival as early as possible.
Hope we can welcome you at Szechenyi Spa Baths!

Are Covid passports still required to enter the baths as of January 2023?
Hello Vince,
Covid passports are no longer required (since March 2022).
Enjoy your stay in Budapest!
Hi
Can you tell me how to book the massages please as I would really like to book for next week. The online form only seems to let you book entry to the baths and the email address on the contacts page doesn’t work.
Thank you

We recommend families with children visiting one of the lidos in Budapest, especially Palatinus Pools on Margaret Island and Dagaly Lido close to Arpad Bridge (north of Margaret Island).

We are two people planning to come in May, yet I cannot book tickets for then. Are you open in May?

Hello Evelina,
