Hello,
I’m French and I come in Budapest to euro.
I would like to go to your bath. Is it possible to enter with test Pcr covid please?
Thank you
Hi Anthony,
If you have been fully vaccinated in France, please kindly note that French Covid Passports are still being negotiated by the HU government about their status of acceptance – i.e. at this moment, they are not accepted yet in Budapest, Hungary (PCR tests, on the other hand, are a requirement to legally enter Hungary and stay out of quarantine, enabling their owners to visit several attractions in the city of Budapest). Currently, baths require more than valid Coronavirus tests: a valid Covid passport from a country given the green status by the HU government.
Please find further details about the Covid passports and PCR tests as seen below:
Covid tests can only be used with strict limitations: you can use the tests if they are to prove that you are not only fully vaccinated (through two Covid jabs ensuring your Covid immunity) but also in possession of a Covid passport aka immunity card that has been issued in any of the countries that are accepted as a country of Covid passport issuance by the Hungarian government. Currently this is the only accepted way to enter the thermal baths, which may of course change over the years 2021 and 2022.
Currently, many countries in the EU, or in North America are unfortunately not on the list of accepted Covid passports yet, as Hungary is still negotiating with several countries about the mutual acceptance of immunity cards for a range of Covid 19 vaccinations. We apologize for this inconvenience and are thankful for your continued cooperation to minimise the spread of coronavirus.
To enter Hungary, you are expected to have two valid negative Covid tests min 48 hours apart to be free from a 10 day quarantine period after arrival (the first test can be taken in the source country, then min 48h later, another negative Covid test results need to be acquired in Hungary).
The entry requirements for the thermal baths in Budapest go beyond this border requirement by currently asking visitors to have a valid immunity card issued by the HU government or any of the countries accepted by the HU government, momentarily, mostly South-Eastern European countries including Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Moldova etc. as well as Turkey and Bahrain). The full list of countries whose Covid passport has reached the point of mutual acceptance in the intergovernmental negotiations can be seen here (update on 30th May): https://koronavirus.gov.hu/cikkek/vedettsegi-igazolvanyok-elfogadasa-20210530
Regardless of any tests, cards, certificates etc., if a visitor shows any symptoms related to Covid at the entrance of the baths (high temperature etc.) they will be rejected from entry to the baths.
In other words, if you have a valid PCR test to enter the country, it is fine to visit many attractions in Budapest, but is NOT sufficient to visit the baths in Budapest, including Szechenyi Spa & Baths.
We hope that in a few months’ time travel and entry procedures will become more transparent and smoothly organised. Until then, thank you for your continued support to minimise the potential spread of the virus.
There is a duplication of a word in the description of the baths:

Hello Kerry,
Many thanks for that, well spotted and corrected.

Hello everyone,
I come from France next week , can i come to bath with PCR Test ?
Hello Xavier,
Unfortunately, at the moment, PCR tests themselves are not satisfactory for the thermal baths entry yet in Budapest, Hungary (PCR tests, on the other hand, are a requirement to legally enter Hungary and stay out of quarantine, enabling their owners to visit several attractions in the city of Budapest). Currently, public baths require more than a valid PCR test, and even more than any valid Coronavirus Passport: visitors will need to present a valid Covid passport from a country given the green status by the HU government.
The entry requirements for the thermal baths in Budapest is as follows:

Hello,
We are visiting budapest this weekend and would really really like to visit the baths. We have a 2 plus year old with us but she is completely potty trained. Can she join in too? Thanks a lot.
Dear Nancy,
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, children who have been potty trained are allowed in the baths.
Kindly note that the thermal waters and the pool complex are recommended over 14 years of age at parental responsibility. More information: https://szechenyibath.com/can-children-go-to-szechenyi-baths-szechenyi-bath-faq/

I aslo want to know if you recomend me to buy tickets online or buy it there.
Hello Javier,

Are the cabins secure to leave your belongings
Hello David,
The cabin is like a tiny room, the size is that of a changing cubicle, where you can get changed and store your belongings (some guests are leaving for the airport directly, and leave their suitcase / backpack in the cabin. You can also book a safe, however, if you have anything of particular value. Please note that the baths are very busy, and we do not recommend storing / bringing items of considerable value with yourself to the baths, such as jewellery, valuable wrist watches, etc.).
The door of the Cabin has a unique chip code lock, which opens and closes with a special waterproof bracelet: in fact, your digital ticket will be replaced with a waterproof wristband, which incorporates the chip for the locker / cabin.
As you are wearing the band all the times, it is quite secure if you make sure that the door is not left open.
Enjoy your visit at Szechenyi Spa Baths!
