Renting swimwear at Szechenyi Baths is an option for those who do not wish to carry around their swimsuits, swimming trunks, bikinis neither before taking a bath in the thermal bath, nor after that, when the swimwear gets wet and heavier. Some tourists assume that people swim naked in Szechenyi Baths. Quite the contrary, the Szechenyi Bath Dress Code makes wearing a decent swimwear compulsory for all guests on all days. If you wish to get a better chance at buying a suitable swimwear during your Budapest stay we would suggest visiting one of the sports shops or fashion outlets in the city (which are more concentrated in smaller areas in shopping malls, e.g. in Decathlon sports shop by Nyugati Train Station, or in one of the many fashion stores in West End City shopping mall, a few minutes metro ride from Szechenyi Bath at Nyugati Train Station, or Mammut Shopping Mall on the Buda side of Budapest). Prices are typically more favourable in larger sports outlets like Decathlon, Hervis etc. to name but a few).

The Szecheny Baths are a good experience, but the information about getting towels is not clear. At counter, a man said us that we could take them inside. Outside in the hall we had seen 6990 HUF. But inside, without chance to come back, a woman said us that every towel costs 8990 HUF .
