We are terribly sorry that we cannot spoil you when you would deserve the most.

In a similar vein, there are several pools in the baths which contain hot water (between 33 and 40 degrees Celsius, the upper end of which, is not recommended for pregnant mothers.

I will be 5 months pregnant when I visit and although I won’t be using the pools I have read I will still need to wear swimwear. Am I able to wear a beach coverup?

  4. I am planning to visit your beautiful baths next week with my wife, who is currently 5 months pregnant. We would like to know if it is generally safe for her to enter the lukewarm thermal pools during our visit.

Of course, we will first consult our doctor about this, but we would also appreciate any information or recommendations you can share regarding pregnant visitors.

      Dear Sunny,

Thank you for your kind message and for considering a visit to the thermal baths in Budapest.

Regarding your question: the official policy issued by Budapest Spas cPlc. does not specifically restrict pregnant guests from using the thermal pools. The only formal note in the bath regulations states that wellness massages are contraindicated during pregnancy and therefore not permitted.

That said, we are unable to offer personal or medical advice. The decision to use the thermal pools is entirely at each guest’s discretion, based on their health condition and the guidance of their healthcare provider — ideally an OB/GYN. We fully support your plan to consult your doctor beforehand, as that is certainly the most responsible approach.
