Is an American Covid card along with Passport acceptable?
Dear Maryanne,
yes, US Covid passes are fine. Enjoy your stay in Budapest!
Hi, what are the requirements to get a COVID passport. Does it have to be vaccinated / negative PCR or recovery from COVID ?
Hello Mark,
Thank you for reaching out before your visit.
For Szechenyi Spa Baths entry requirements are the following:
EU or International (US, CA, AU, etc.) Covid Passport or proof of Vaccination over 16 of age are required along with a matching photo ID. They do have an expiration date, so please make sure that your document is valid. It does not matter how many jabs/ vaccines you have had if the document is valid, you can enter. Children under 16 years will need to be accompanied with an adult who has a valid Covid pass.
If you have official proof of recovery from Covid (EU recovery pass) it is also accepted (antibody test)
Please note, that PCR tests or LFS (lateral flow tests) are not accepted, only recommended on top of Covid passports.
Thank you for your kind cooperation and enjoy the thermal waters in Budapest, Hungary.
Hi
Do you still require vaccine passport to enter?
Hello Jay,
Thank you for your inquiry.
The entry requirement has been modified to ‘a healthy condition’ (free from any Covid or other symptoms of illness): in short, Covid passports / vaccination proof, negative tests (PCR or lateral flow) are no longer required for visiting the thermal baths in Budapest.
Enjoy your trip to Hungary.
Hello, I have purchased the Budapest card plus and get discount to Szechenyi. Can I purchase tickets in advance with this discount? If so, how do I do this? Or can I only turn up on the day and show the Budapest card plus for the discount?
Hello Emma,
the Budapest Card discount applies on tickets bought on the spot.
Hope we can welcome you at Szechenyi Spa Baths!
Hello I am planning of buying a ticket for next week. Is the covid vaccine or certificate required?
Hello Isabelle,
no covid passes are required from May 1.
Have a lovely summer holiday in Budapest!
Is it aloud for 5 years child to enter with the company of parents? Is it open at November ??? And what timing ???
Dear Ioanna,
Babies who are not potty trained are not allowed in the pools, even if they are wearing a swimming nappy. It mostly applies to children under the age of 3. Babies and toddlers can come with the family to the Spa but need to stay outside the pool area with somebody.
The thermal baths were and are still aimed at adult bathers, therefore there are no kid’s pools or activities.
Most of the outdoor and indoor pools and baths are more than 33 degrees Celsius, which means increased stress for the cardiovascular system of kids, whose body is not fully developed yet to be able to cope with the heat of the bath waters, therefore saunas and hot pools are not healthy for children under 14.
