Szechenyi Baths received the most prestigious Hungarian award a company in Magyarorszag can get: the Hungarian Quality Product Award(Magyar Termek Nagydij).
The award was received by the management of Szechenyi Baths and Pool Budapest on 4 September 2012 in the Upper Chamber of the Hungarian Parliament (approx. the “House of Lords”, which is not used any more as a political chamber only as a room for special events and receptions, like the ceremony of the Magyar Termék Nagydíj).
This was the 15th year that the best Hungarian companies received this special prize for their high quality or outstanding services. Only the very best can get the topmost product prize.
So which are the best Budapest baths? We can answer easily that Szechenyi Baths is one of them. :)
Congratulations to all who has helped Szechenyi Baths to get this fantastic award, and be appreciated by not only the annual one million visitors to the thermal baths, amongst them including hundreds of thousands of tourists, but also by the Hungarian state itself.
Thank you, and hip hip hurray for Szechenyi Baths Budapest!
Next year, in 2013, Szechenyi Spa Baths and Pool (Széchenyi Gyógyfürdő és Uszoda) will have its centenary, yes, the baths will turn 100 years old, as it was opened in 1913 in the City Park of Budapest. There will be special events you can expect in 2013!
Szechenyi Baths was also rewarded the Medical Wellness Special Award of the TÜV Rheinland InterCert Ltd.
Did you know?
Szechenyi Baths is the largest medical spa baths in Europe, and the first bath that was built on the Pest side of Budapest (as you know, the Buda side can boast about a series of Turkish Baths from the 16th century)
Szechenyi Baths represents the Hungarian buildings in the Mini Europe in Brussels, the only place in Europe where you can see all of the top European attractions in once place, including the Szechenyi Baths in Budapest, Hungary.
Szechenyi Baths was built from 1909 to 1913 in neo-Baroque and modern Renaissance style, the main work of Gyozo Czigler (historicism in architecture was characterised by mixing various architectural styles, in case of Szechenyi Furdo both renaissance and baroque elements can be found in the building of the thermal bath complex).
